Synopsis:
New musical which takes audiences back to the height of the jazz age, when "moderns," including a flapper named Millie, are bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce and rewriting the rules of love. Based on the hit 1967 movie of the same name, this new Millie will include 15 songs including three from the film, several more culled from the 1920's (with new music and new lyrics by Jeanine Tesori (Twelfth Night, Violet) and Dick Scanlan,) and original songs with music by Tesori and lyrics by Scanlan. The book is by Richard Morris (The Unsinkable Molly Brown) and Dick Scanlan based on Morris' original story and screenplay.
